Another look at one of the Lost Polaroids. Mom and I stopped at Haight and Ashbury. This is Masonic and Haight It was early in the morning and none of the shops were open except for the Red Victorian. They were just opening for the day. We walked around for a little while taking photos then headed back on the road.

Another one of my “Lost Polaroids”. The famous Golden Gate Bridge. Next time Mom and I are gonna bring bikes and ride out on it.

This was the first Polaroid I shot on the trip with my Mom. It’s the Barstow drive in. I shot fourteen more on our way to Shelter Cove. Some along the road a few in San Francisco. When we were shooting around Shelter Cove I noticed I didn’t have my box. I looked everywhere and couldn’t find them anywhere. After we left, we were driving in Tahoe when my Mom received an email saying the Polaroids were found. They made their way back to me, safe and sound. I guess not everything disappears on the Lost Coast.

One of my favorite spots along our trip was Black Sandy Beach. The waves crashing on the small pebbles that made up the sand was an audible experience that can’t be described. Mom and I walked on the beach, climbed rocks, and found starfish.

This is a shot of Mom on the beach in front of The Tides Inn. We had the car packed up and she was out there getting her last shots before we headed out. She seemed so tiny on the beach with the Pacific behind her.

The trip has ended but the scanning never stops. I can now show some of the Polaroids I shot on the trip. Of all the places I thought I could find a phone booth, Shelter Cove was not one of them.

We made it to South Lake Tahoe. What a beautiful place. The pictures of the lake are Emerald Bay. It was a beautiful drive. I can only imagine what this place looks like in the winter. I can’t imagine driving on these roads when they are covered in snow.
